Chasing after God together.

Because life will happen and you don't want to get lost in the midst of everything without your partner knowing which direction you both are heading.

For those chasing after God together: Before we even said I do, we vowed our relationship over to God & that would never change. We would always pray before bed & when we woke up, had bible studies, & served in ministry together. We were & still on fire for God, but something shifted where we slowly stopped having devotions together faithfully & as often as we should. I know, how can this be right?!

Well I think in the midst of life, work, & ministry, we allowed our busyness to hinder us. (Such a big lie & excuse I kept telling myself) We just stopped making it a top priority. It took some real painful truth to see that. So I say all of this to say, for those married or in a relationship or preparing to be in one, be INTENTIONAL when it comes to staying rooted together. Because life will happen & you don't want to get lost in the midst of everything without your partner knowing which direction you both are heading.

Make it a PRIORITY to get up maybe an hour earlier than you have to or turn off the game 30 mins before bed (in our case lol) to ask each other what has God been showing & teaching the both of you. Even if you have to call each other before bed to pray & in the mornings when y'all rise, like we do. Find a devotion or a study you both can do together. The enemy throws distractions left & right because he knows the fire/ force two can have. Stay guarded. Like we always say to one another, no day is promised. Our souls aren't to be compromised, we have so much work to do for the kingdom as God has so much work to do in us.
