Shared spaces: boys’ room reveal

The boys’ room is FINALLY done & I am beyond excited to share with you the outcome. When deciding on the color & theme of the room, I knew I wanted something that would feel warm and vibrant for the boys seeing a toddler & newborn were going to be sharing a room. I didn’t want it to feel so much like a traditional baby nursery.

Thanks to the partnership with Pottery Barn Kids, I was able to create such a dreamy space that I knew my boys would love! A huge thank you to my husband & the Godbolds for helping me paint & hang almost everything in the room.

Couldn’t have done it without y’all.

For the boys room, I wanted a more mature look & feel. I wanted to be able to reuse these pieces for many years as they grew. Pottery Barn Kids had so many amazing pieces that brought my vision to life. The collection that I chose to go with was West Elm x PBK Mid-Century due to the rich colors. I also loved the look of the modern crib that also transforms into a toddler bed. Major win.

When I began designing Harlem’s side of the room, I wanted something that reflected his big personality. So I decided on going with a big boy house bed that he could grow into. We went with this dope house bed & got some fun decorative pillows we repurposed. Also wanted an art piece that represented Harlem’s fearlessness so I ordered this art piece from his uncle Temi Coker’s shop. (BUY BLACK)

Lastly wanted to share the boys’ library. I wanted to have books that represented them so we created a library wall with acrylic bookcases that saved us space & filled a wall with the least amount of effort. One of my favorite little corner in our house. So thankful that Pottery Barn Kids helped me create a space to create all the sweet memories with my boys. I will cherish these moments forever.
