Growing pains.

Remember you are on the same team—strengthening roots not pulling them up.

Growth can be painful in a relationship, but it also creates stronger roots. I’ve been married for three years & truly say that we’ve been through some STUFF. Been in storms that wanted to destroy us, tear us down, & watch us crumble. Had the pain of our past creep back in & cause wounds to reopen.

The enemy thought because we were going through it, just maybe we would turn our backs on each other & start fighting against each other. Little did he know, we knew what was taking place. We knew if we stuck together rather than tear each other apart with our words, we would win. If instead of arguing & getting loud with each other, we forgave & worked through our issues together.

You see life is short & sometimes we go to bed angry, roll over not speaking to one another because he/she hurt you, gave them the silent treatment, whatever it may be. I want to encourage you to be the bigger person & talk through whatever has been bottled up inside of you before it explodes & turns into something bigger. Learn to not sweat the small things & appreciate the good in one another. Tomorrow isn’t promised. I would hate for you to regret you last words be out of anger. Remember you are on the same team—strengthening roots not pulling them up.
